Limitations

The following limitations apply to incentive payments:

No single Project Sponsor or group of affiliated Project Sponsors may receive more than 20% of the total incentive funding available the current program year.

Each project may derive no more than 65% of its incentives from lighting-related measures. In cases where lighting measures make up more than 65% of the project's energy or demand savings, the incentives for each type of savings will be limited to 65% of the total expected incentive payment for that type. (See an example).

The maximum incentive payment for each project is $700.60/kW saved based on both demand and energy payments. For lighting-only projects, the incentive payment cap is $455.39/kW saved.

In other words, a Project Sponsor may receive no more than $700.60 (or $455.39 for lighting-only projects) per verified kW of eligible demand savings for each project submitted. These incentive caps correspond to a project maximum annual load factor of 100% (equivalent to 8,760 full-load operating hours). (See an example).

Under no circumstances will Energy CenterPoint Energy make an incentive payment equal to more than 100% of the total incentive amount specified in the Project Authorization.
